Job description, responsibilities and duties
Purpose of the job:
To operationally manage and undertake desktop assessments against Health, Safety, Security and Environment criteria and complete the associated report.
Key responsibilities
• To operationally manage the submission and completion of the desktop assessments
• Liaise with international operational suppliers to support the completion of the submission.
• Daily work involves chasing submissions, supplier assessment support, conducting desktop assessments, progressing the internal QA/QC process and dealing with queries.
• Work to the defined KPIs for the volume and quality of work submitted
• When required, to thoroughly check the quality of assessment reports

Personality requirements and skills
Knowledge and previous experience
• Knowledge of audit and assessment processes
• Advanced administrative and customer care experience, ideally within medium to large organisations
• Understanding of Assessment and Reporting processes
• Ability to work using own initiative and without direct supervision
• Confident communicator & Team Player
• Confident in dealing with people of all levels within a variety of organisations
Previous training
• Holder of Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) - Mandatory
• Holder of an Environmental qualification (14001, IEMA, degree or similar)
• Quality management systems experience - Mandatory
• Lead Assessor qualified via examination (Preferably IRCA or RABQSA) – Preferable but not mandatory
Essential skills
• An advanced working knowledge of MSOffice (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook and the Internet
• Previous experience of using customer management tools
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written, telephone and face-to-face communication skills
• Very good listening skills
• Confident and professional manner in dealing with people
