Lead Senior PHP Developer
Language Jobs Ltd operates Europe's No:1 Network of International Language Job Boards. The company is rapidly expanding and we looking to grow our cutting-edge web development team with bright and talented Lead Senior PHP Developer. The position will be based in Southgate, North London (zone 4 on the Piccadilly line)

Your core remit will be working in a team for the development of Web applications, building on top of exiting web products using LAMP as the primary development platform. You will also be working on new web projects and ongoing maintenance of existing sites. All projects you are building will be varied and will include all types of database driven applications.

You must be a Senior Developer with 3-4 years commercial experience in developing and deploying high traffic web applications in a LAMP environment. It is essential you have excellent working experience of PHP, Zend Framework, Apache and MySQL, as well as a proficiency in XHTML, Javascript and jQuery. Linux experience is a requirement.
You must also demonstrate a well-rounded understanding of technology, such as caching, networking & network protocols, email, security, systems architecture, performance analysis, and a propensity to diagnose complex problems on all levels of the I.T. infrastructure. A practical understanding of scalable web applications and load balancing would add weight to your application.
